FOOD FOR THOUGHTdrops
What It Is
FOOD FOR THOUGHTdrops is a collaborative series of digital re-releases of individual music tracks from the original Menus and Music and Music Cooks line of products from Menus and Music.
Every FOOD FOR THOUGHTdrop will benefit organizations that support sustainable food production and distribution to help address food insecurity in our communities.
Crawdad, a FOOD FOR THOUGHTdrop
Benefiting: Pacific Institute & The Women’s Drop-In Center
Food and music might be the world’s finest companions, and this FOOD FOR THOUGHT collaboration demonstrates that connection beautifully. Set to The Big Sky Ensemble’s rendition of “Crawdad,” this FOOD FOR THOUGHTdrop showcases the work of muralist Brijean, photographed by Peter Barshay, and the work of author Sharon O’Connor and her photographer, Paul Moore.
Your contribution to this drop gives you a downloadable track of Peter Barshay’s arrangement of “Crawdad” and access to view the accompanying photos. Each collaborative contribution helps support the efforts of The Pacific Institute and The Women’s Drop-In Center in Berkeley, CA.
Berceuse, a FOOD FOR THOUGHTdrop
Benefiting: World Central Kitchen & The Berkeley Food Pantry
In today’s world, no one should be going hungry. This FOOD FOR THOUGHTdrop aims to make a dent in the problem of food insecurity by supporting World Central Kitchen and the Berkeley Food Pantry.
Set to Peter Barshay’s arrangement of Gabriel Faure’s “Berceuse,” performed by The Kenny Barron Ensemble, this drop features the paintings of Caitlin Coreris, photographed by Peter Barshay, and Paul Moore’s images from Sharon O’Connor’s Menus and Music series. Support the artists’ chosen organizations today with your contribution, and you’ll receive the “Berceuse” track to download and enjoy, along with access to the images that accompany it.
